COMPARISON WITH CHAINS

Despite the existence of a great variety of chains in the market, in all of them the connection of every piece with the next one is made in just one point, so their resistance is limited to the shear strain regarding the two sections of the joining pin. As a matter of fact, in order to solve this problem, the PVC belts are manufactured in steel most of the times, which on the other hand implies additional requirements, such as lubrication and bigger motor equipments, as well as it results in a noise level increase.

However, chains can be replaced by narrow modular belts which have connecting points every 8 mm.. They are manufactured in highly resistant and noiseless plastic materials. Light and with very low friction coefficients, they do not need any lubrication which avoids the containers to get wet or dirty together with their resulting rejection.
