Many users in the food industry have expressed concern when using plastic conveyor belts in their manufacturing processes, because (never desirable but always present) breakages cause pieces of plastic to break off and mix with the product.
Eurobelt in collaboration with food groups, detector manufacturers and one of the world leaders in technical plastics, have developed a new material capable of being detected by X-Ray detectors in particles of approximately 2 or 3 mm spherical radius.
With this discovery Eurobelt adds to its range of conveyor belts a new solution to contamination problems.
Suitable for direct contact with foodstuffs and with a wide working temperature range between -40ºC and 80ºC, this type of material is ideal for those applications in which it is foreseen that there may be a migration of the material into the product flow. Cutting or high impact areas, elevators or any application in which the belt is handled on top of the belt would be the clearest examples.
This new material complies with FDA 21CFR and European Regulations for direct food contact.
